Choosing your subjects: building blocks to success
Does it matter which subjects you choose in school? Yes! The choices you make now can influence the options you have when it’s time to leave school. If you have no clear idea of what you want to be doing when you leave school, then we need to talk! Don’t fall into the trap of choosing the same subjects as your friends, or simply going for the ones you find easy.
Think for yourself, think of your own future, and come in to Career FocusNZ for some targeted, serious career help.
“I always knew I wanted to be a nurse from a young age and Muriel helped me get to where I am now, in my second year of the Bachelor of nursing.
When I was going into year 12 and 13 I had no idea what subjects I needed to take in order to be accepted in to the Bachelor of Nursing degree. Muriel helped me choose the right subjects, and worked with me to ensure they were subjects I enjoyed. She explained how each subject would meet the criteria needed for nursing and would help me to gain UE.
She helped me make the best choice for my career and made it easy to get there.” Georgia
